Claude and my wife were talking and he told her Gleason was a staunch supporter of the Republican Party, supported Nixon’s election and eventually became good friends with Richard Nixon. Gleason and President Nixon would golf together at Gleason’s Golf Club. Gleason kept on asking Nixon to tell him more about UFOs and became serious ufologist with an excellent memory of key events. Nixon shared his interest in UFOs, while playing golf to Gleason although he didn’t like to talk much about it.
